As part of a plan for economic transformation unveiled by Saudi Arabia in April 2016, the Saudi government has said that it intends to raise capital by floating shares in state-owned oil company, Saudi Aramco (Reuters, Bloomberg, Financial Times, Financial Post). Only shares of Saudi Aramco's parent company, the Saudi Arabian Oil Company, will count.
