ManuPV asks:
Between 11 October 2019 and 12 June 2020, will the Hong Kong dollar close above HK$7.8510?
Closed Jun 12, 2020 06:59AM UTC
The Hong Kong dollar has been pegged to the U.S. dollar since 1983, and has been pegged to trade between HK$7.75 and HK$7.85 per U.S. dollar since 2005 (Reuters, Bloomberg). Ongoing anti-government protests have raised concerns about Hong Kong's economy, including the stability of the Hong Kong dollar (South China Morning Post, Reuters). Outcome will be determined by the end-of-day closing value reported by Bloomberg (Bloomberg).
