When will the UK officially announce that it has resumed talks with Israel on a new free trade agreement?

On 20 May 2025, UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy told the House of Commons that the UK had "suspended negotiations with this Israeli government on a new free trade agreement" due to Israeli actions limiting humanitarian aid moving into Gaza (BBC, AP). An announcement must be made by a person who is officially authorized to speak on behalf of the UK government.
