Will ride-sharing firm Lyft announce an agreement that it will either merge with or be acquired by another firm before 1 January 2026?
Closed Jan 01, 2026 08:01AM UTC
Shares of Lyft rose in early 2025 amid speculation that it could be an acquisition target (Yahoo [GuruFocus], NASDAQ). Whether the agreement is ultimately executed is immaterial. Acquisition by a wholly owned subsidiary of Amazon will count as an agreement with Amazon. The whole of Lyft must be merged or acquired to count, and Lyft merging with a smaller company will not count.
