As of 25 December 2025, how many US states will have a case of measles reported in 2025, according to the CDC?

Outbreaks of measles in the US have raised concerns among public health officials (AP, CNN). The question will be suspended on 24 December 2025 if still open and the outcome determined using data as provided by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) when first available through 25 December 2025 (CDC, see "Map of measles cases in 2024 & 2025" and links under the map graphic for download options; also note that New York City cases are also reported). The CDC reported that 32 states had at least one case of measles in 2024. For the purposes of this question, the District of Columbia is considered a state.
