The Big 12 Conference, with 16 men's basketball teams, started with six teams in the top 25 in the first AP poll released before the season began (Big 12 Sports). The outcome will be determined using the standings and results as reported by the Big 12 (Big 12 - Standings). The Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship is scheduled for 10-14 March 2026 in Kansas City, Missouri (Big 12).
