Russia's only launch pad capable of sending humans and cargo to the International Space Station (ISS) was reportedly damaged during a launch of the Soyuz MS-28 mission on 27 November 2025 (Space.com, CNN, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty). The question will close upon the successful docking of a launched vessel with the ISS. Whether the mission is launched from Russia, Kazakhstan, or elsewhere in the former Soviet Union is immaterial.
