There are 20 Republican-held and 16 Democratic-held state gubernatorial seats up for election in 2022 (Ballotpedia, 270 to Win). The general election is scheduled for 8 November 2022, with a primary runoff set for 6 December 2022, if needed (Georgia Secretary of State).
