Ethereum, the cryptocurrency second only to bitcoin in market capitalization as of February 2024, saw major gains in the beginning of 2024 amid anticipation of a "Dencun upgrade" and speculation about a possible Ethereum ETF (Yahoo, Unchained, Consensys). The question will be suspended on 29 June 2024 and the outcome determined using Coinbase price data as reported by the Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) database (FRED). On 12 February 2024, the price of one Ethereum was $2,666.22.
