The Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings compare over 1,500 universities around the world (QS Top Universities). In the rankings for 2025, the highest-ranked Chinese institution was Peking University at 14th, up from 17th for 2024 (Yahoo [Cision]). Rankings for 2026 are expected sometime in late spring or early summer 2025 (QS - World University Rankings).
