Former Representative Anthony Weiner has filed paperwork to run for NYC City Council in 2025, though he had not officially announced his candidacy as of 12 December 2024 (AP, The Hill, Spectrum NY1). The City Council primaries are scheduled for 24 June 2025 (NYC Campaign Finance Board). The question will close "No" upon Anthony Weiner publicly stating that he will not run in a Democratic primary for a NYC City Council seat.
