The prestigious International Booker Prize "celebrates the best works of long-form fiction or collections of short stories translated into English and published in the UK and/or Ireland" (International Booker Prize). On 25 February 2025, the "longlist" of 13 nominees was announced, which is scheduled to be narrowed down to a "shortlist" of six books to be announced on 8 April 2025 and the winner announced in London on 20 May 2025 (Guardian, International Booker Prize 2025). In the event of a tie, the answer option listed first (top to bottom) among the tied nominees will be considered the winner.
