Will presidential and/or national legislative elections be held in Guinea in 2025?
Closed Jan 01, 2026 08:01AM UTC
The government of Guinea announced in March 2025 that elections will be held in 2025, which would be the first since a coup deposed the elected government in 2021 (Yahoo [Bloomberg], North Africa Post, Guardian). Whether results are annulled after the election is held is immaterial (e.g., BBC). The question will close early if the government of Guinea officially announces that no elections will take place in 2025.
