kyubi asks:

What will be the percentage change in global semiconductor sales in 2026 versus 2025, according to the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA)?

The AI boom has pushed semiconductor (aka "chips") sales to new records (World Semiconductor Trade Statistics, Yahoo [Guru Focus]). The question will be suspended on 31 December 2026 and the outcome determined using data as reported by SIA for all of 2026 once data for December 2026 are first available, expected in early February 2027 (SIA - News). The change will be calculated by dividing the total value of sales in 2026 by the total value of sales in 2025 and subtracting one. When 2024 data was first released in February 2025, the SIA reported sales of $627.6 billion in 2024 versus $526.8 billion in 2023, which is an increase of 19.1% (SIA - 7 February 2025). [Note that 2024 data was subsequently updated to $630.5 billion.]
