After Marjorie Taylor Greene resigned from Congress in January 2026, a special election was called to fill the seat for the remainder of Greene's term (PBS, Politico). The special election in Georgia is scheduled for 10 March 2026, with a runoff scheduled for 7 April 2026, if needed (Ballotpedia, Atlanta News First). Parties primaries are not scheduled to be held for this special election.
