sreichau asks:
For any month between and including October 2019 and December 2020, will the annual rate of inflation for the eurozone reach or exceed 2.0%?
Closed Jan 01, 2021 08:01AM UTC
As the European Central Bank (ECB) continues its programs of quantitative easing and negative interest rates in the face of recession fears, there are concerns that the ECB will not be able to return to its inflation target of "below, but close to, 2% over the medium term" (MarketWatch, AP, Financial Times, ECB). The outcome will be determined based on Eurostat data for "Euro area (19 countries)" (Eurostat).
