Georgia's Vogtle Electric Generating Plant will become the country's largest nuclear power plant with the addition of new reactor Units 3 and 4, the first new nuclear power units built in the United States in decades (Daily Energy Insider, Georgia Power). The current goal is for Unit 3 to be in service towards the end of 2021, with an initial fuel load being a significant milestone towards meeting that goal (Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, Power Engineering, PR Newswire).
