On 4 July 2020, rapper Kanye West announced that he was running for president (ABC News). Since then, West has been racing to meet filing deadlines in various states in order to appear on the ballot (Newsweek, Forbes). For the purposes of this question, the District of Columbia is considered a state. Whether West ceases to be a candidate before election day is immaterial.
