erikbays asks:
Will the UN declare that a famine exists in any part of Yemen before 1 April 2023?
Closed Apr 01, 2023 07:01AM UTC
War and conflict have left millions in Yemen facing potential famine (World Food Program - Yemen Emergency Dashboard March 2022, Hunger Hotspots - February to May 2022 Outlook, Integrated Food Security Phase Classification - Mapping Tool). For general information on how famines are declared, see: NPR. The reporting of famine conditions without a UN famine declaration would not count.
