Amidst higher interest rates, the US labor market has continued to show resilience (US News & World Report, Yahoo Finance, CNBC). The question will be suspended on 29 February 2024 and the outcome determined using BLS data as first reported by the Federal Reserve Economic Data database (FRED) for February 2024, expected in April 2024 (FRED, BLS - JOLTS Release Schedule). As of 6 July 2023, the number of job openings reported for February 2023 for "Total" was 9,974 (in thousands).
