Private Superforecasting Workshop asks:
How many of the tech companies among Alphabet (Google), Apple, Meta (Facebook), Microsoft, and NVIDIA will announce a full-time "return to office" policy in the US before 1 January 2025?
Closed Jan 01, 2025 08:01AM UTC
On 16 September 2024, ecommerce giant Amazon CEO Andy Jassy announced that "we’re going to return to being in the office the way we were before the onset of COVID" (Amazon, Ars Technica). The date the policy change will take effect is immaterial so long as it is contemplated to be implemented before February 2026. An announcement of a general full-time return to work policy with specific exceptions (e.g., excluding positions that are remote by design) will count.
