Retail giant Walmart announced on 9 April 2025 that it was pulling its guidance for its FY2026 first quarter adjusted operating income that had been an increase of 0.5% to 2.0%, and it also affirmed its sales growth forecast of 3.0% to 4.0% (CNBC, Walmart - Press Release 9 April 2025). The question will be suspended on 14 May 2025 and the outcome will be determined using data reported by Walmart for the first quarter of its FY2026, expected on 15 May 2025. In the fourth quarter of FY2025 (November 2024 to January 2025), adjusted operating income increased from $7,254 million in the fourth quarter of FY2024 to $7,760 million, an increase of 6.97546% (Walmart - Earnings Release FY2025 Q4, see the "Consolidated" table near the bottom of page 11).
