Closed Oct 01, 2025 07:01AM UTC
The inflation rate in the US has continued to trend down, but uncertainty surrounding US tariff policy has market observers concerned about a rebound (AP, MSN [MarketWatch], Investopedia - CPI). The question will be suspended on 30 September 2025 and the outcome determined using the 12-month percentage change for September 2025 when first released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) for "All items" as reported by the Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) database, expected in October 2025 (FRED, click "EDIT GRAPH" and change "Units" to "Percent Change from Year Ago"). As of the launch of this question, the change for September 2024 was 2.43254%.
