Closed Nov 21, 2025 08:01AM UTC
The potential for major supply disruptions in the Middle East has turned attention to US domestic oil production (BBC, CBS News). The Baker Hughes North American Rotary Rig Count "is a weekly census of the number of drilling rigs actively exploring for or developing oil or natural gas in the United States and Canada" (Baker Hughes - Rig Count FAQs). The outcome will be determined using Baker Hughes data as reported by Trading Economics in the first release of November 2025, expected on 21 November 2025 (Trading Economics). On 6 June 2025, Baker Hughes reported a total crude oil rig count in the US of 442.
