Broadcaster ABC announced on 17 September 2025 that it was pulling "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" off the air "indefinitely" amid backlash against the late-night host's comments about the assassination of Charlie Kirk (NBC News, Newsweek, BBC). The question will close as of the beginning of the broadcast of a new episode on the East Coast of the US. The question will close early upon ABC or Kimmel publicly stating that the show will not return to ABC.
