The question will be suspended on 1 April 2026 and the outcome determined using data as reported by Google Finance by dividing the closing values for 2 April 2026 by the closing values for 1 October 2025 and subtracting one, respectively.

Gold (Google Finance, set to "1M") [Closing value 1 October 2025: $3,897.50]

Palladium (Google Finance, set to "1M") [Closing value 1 October 2025: $1,275.40]

Platinum (Google Finance, set to "1M") [Closing value 1 October 2025: $1,590.70]

Silver (Google Finance, set to "1M") [Closing value 1 October 2025: $47.68]

In the event of a tie, the metal that performed best through 1 April 2026 will be considered to have performed best, and further back from there.
