When will a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) between the WNBA and the Women's National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA) be ratified?
Closing May 01, 2026 07:01AM UTC
The WNBA and player's union, the WNBPA, have been negotiating terms for a new CBA, though the parties are reportedly far apart as of October 2025 (ESPN, Sporting News). The question will close as of the WNBPA members voting in the affirmative to approve a new CBA that has already been agreed to by the WNBA or when both parties have announced that a new CBA has been reached and ratified. The current CBA is due to expire on 31 October 2025, with the 2026 season generally expected to begin in May 2026 (WNBPA - The CBA, WNBA - Key Dates).
