Bas_ asks:
Will Javier Milei win the 2027 Argentine presidential election?
Closing Dec 01, 2027 08:01AM UTC
Argentine President Javier Milei's party won a surprise victory in the country's 2025 midterm elections, and Milei has said that he intends to run for reelection in 2027 (BBC, NPR, Buenos Aires Times). The 2027 Argentine presidential election is expected to be held in October 2027, with a runoff held within 30 days if a candidate does not win either (a) by more than 45%, or (b) by at least 40% with no other candidate within 10% or less (Constitution of Argentina, see Articles 94 to 98). If Milei publicly announces that he will not seek the presidency in 2027, the question will close "No." The closing date for this question will be changed once the official election date is set.
