How many job openings in the US will the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) report for February 2026?
Closing Mar 01, 2026 08:01AM UTC
Job openings in the US were trending down from historic highs through August, though subsequent government data was delayed by the government shutdown (Yahoo [Reuters], CNBC). The question will be suspended on 28 February 2026 and the outcome determined using BLS data as first reported by the Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) database for February 2026, expected in April 2026 (FRED, BLS - JOLTS Release Schedule). As of the launch of this question, the total number of job openings reported for March 2025 was 7,200 (in thousands), or 7.200 million.
