Speculation abounds that AOC, currently a US Representative from New York, may challenge Sen. Chuck Schumer in 2028 or run for president (The Hill, NY Post, Guardian). The establishment of an exploratory committee alone will not count (e.g., 10 News). The question will close "No" upon AOC publicly stating that she will not run for either office in 2028 or explicitly stating that she will run for a different office in 2028. In the event AOC simultaneously announces a run for the US Senate and the presidency in 2028, the question will close "Yes, for the US presidency").
