Will the average daily crude oil production by Iran fall below 2,600 thousand barrels per day (tb/d) for any month in 2026?

The US has increased pressure on Iran amid broad antigovernment protests as US military assets began amassing in the region in January 2026 (MSN [Wall Street Journal], Jerusalem Post, NPR). The question will be suspended on 31 December 2026 if still open and the outcome determined using data for "IR Iran" or its successor as reported in the "DoC crude oil production based on secondary sources, tb/d" table of the "World Oil Supply" section of OPEC's Monthly Oil Market Reports (MOMRs) (OPEC). The data for a month as first reported will count, and subsequent revisions to past months are immaterial. The average daily crude oil production by Iran in November 2025 was 3,221 tb/d (OPEC - MOMR December 2025, see Table 5 - 7 on page 51).
