What will be the unemployment rate in Australia for August 2020?

Amidst the fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic, there are fears of a spike in unemployment in Australia (Sydney Morning Herald, Westpac). The outcome will be determined using the trend unemployment rate as reported by the Australian Bureau of Statistics for August 2020 (Australian Bureau of Statistics). The question will be suspended on 31 August 2020 and resolved when the data for August are first released, scheduled for 17 September 2020 (Australian Bureau of Statistics).

Due to the Australian Bureau of Statistics suspending its reporting of unemployment trend estimates and not reporting one for August 2020, the question has been voided (abs.gov.au).
