The rate of inflation in the UK has fallen to multiyear lows in 2024 (BBC). The question will be suspended on 31 October 2024 and the outcome will be determined using the "CPI ANNUAL RATE" as reported by the UK Office for National Statistics (ONS) when data for October 2024 are first released, expected in November 2024 (ONS, hover cursor over chart line for data or select "Table" under "Show data as"). As of the launch of this question, the annual inflation rate in October 2023 was 4.6%.
