Poilievre's future as the leader of the Conservative Party is in doubt after the party's defeat in the April 2025 Canadian parliamentary election (Policy Magazine). Because the Conservatives lost the election and Poilievre didn't subsequently resign as party leader, a leadership review is underway leading up to a vote on his leadership at a national convention scheduled for January 2026 (CBC).
