Private Superforecasting Workshop asks:

Before 1 January 2022, will an executive order be signed or federal legislation become law that would limit or prohibit US federal funds from being used to purchase face recognition technology?

Advocates are pushing for limits on the use of face recognition technology for various reasons, from privacy to claims of racial bias (Reuters, ACLU, National Law Review). The date an executive order or federal legislation would take effect is immaterial. A prohibition with specific exemptions would count.
