DippySkippy asks:
What will be the Bank of England's Bank Rate at close of business on 15 December 2022?
Closed Dec 15, 2022 08:01AM UTC
As the UK grapples with inflation like much of the world, the Bank of England increased its benchmark Bank Rate by 0.5% in August 2022, the largest increase since 1997 (CNBC, Guardian). The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) sets the Bank Rate, and raised it to 1.75% at its August 2022 meeting (Bank of England - Bank Rate, Bank of England - August 2022 MPC Minutes). The MPC is scheduled to meet on 15 September 2022, 3 November 2022, and 15 December 2022 (Bank of England - MPC Schedule).
