Before 28 September 2024, will the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) schedule a worker's election on unionization for the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) plant?
Closed Sep 28, 2024 07:01AM UTC
The United Auto Workers (UAW) union has been campaigning to unionize various foreign auto manufacturer facilities in the US, including the HMMA plant in Montgomery, Alabama (Korea Economic Daily, WSFA, AL.com). The question will close early upon an NLRB-sponsored election on union representation being held for the HMMA employees (suspended on the last day of the election), and an election announced before 28 September 2024 but scheduled to be held after 28 September 2024 will count and the closing date will be adjusted accordingly. The outcome will be determined based on the outcome of the election as first reported, irrespective of subsequent appeals as to the election.
