In August 2025, President Trump delayed the imposition of a series of broad tariffs on Chinese goods for 90 days (BBC, CNBC). The Ports are collectively known as the San Pedro Bay Port Complex (Port of Los Angeles). The question will be suspended on 31 December 2025 and the outcome determined using September, October, November, and December 2025 data as reported by the Ports for "Loaded" TEUs, a standardized measurement of volume for cargo containers (Port of Los Angeles, see "Loaded Imports," Port of Long Beach, see "Loaded Inbound," Freight Right - TEU). For September 2024 through December 2024, the Ports reported a total of 3,629,884.5 "Loaded" TEUs, or 3.6298845 million "Loaded" TEUs.
