While new jobs came in lighter than expected among economists in June 2023, the unemployment rate ticked down to 3.6% (CNBC). The question will be suspended on 3 August 2023 and the outcome determined using the official civilian unemployment rate (U3) as reported monthly by the US Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) when first released, expected in August 2023 (BLS).
