Global oil prices have receded in 2025 as supply has remained high and demand has faded (Anadolu Agency, Yahoo [Bloomberg]). The question will be suspended on 11 June 2026 and the outcome determined using US Energy Information Administration data as reported by the Federal Reserve Economic Data database (FRED). On 11 June 2025, the closing price was $71.29.
